ஒரு வழியாக சாப்பிட்டு முடித்த நண்பன் உடனே கிளம்புவதாக சொன்னான். வீட்டுக்காரன்,''இரவில் இவ்வளவு நேரம் ஆகி விட்டது.எனவே இங்கு தங்கி காலை செல்லலாமே?''என்று கேட்டான்.நண்பனோ முக்கிய வேலை இருப்பதாக சொல்லி விடை பெற்று சென்று விட்டான்.

அவன் தலை மறைந்ததும் மனைவி கணவனிடம் கோபத்துடன்,''சாதம் கொஞ்சம்தான் மீதி இருக்கிறது என்று உங்கள் காலை மிதித்து சைகை செய்தும் நீங்கள் விடாப்பிடியாக,'இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் வை'என்று சொல்கிறீர்களே,உங்களுக்கு அறிவு இருக்கிறதா?''என்று கேட்டாள்.

While claiming that the Sri Lanka government has not made sufficient progress on post-war reconciliation and ensuring justice and accountability for alleged war crimes, the United States said that it would support another UN Human Rights Council resolution at the March session.

Releasing the Annual Country Report on Human Rights 2013, US Secretary of State John Kerry said, “We will do it in Sri Lanka, where the government still has not answered basic demands for accountability and reconciliation, where attacks on civil society activists, journalists, and religious minorities, sadly, still continue.”

“Our concern about this ongoing situation has led the United States to support another UN Human Rights Council resolution at the March session. We will do so because we know countries that deny human rights and human dignity challenge our interests as well as human interests. But we also know countries that advance those values, those countries that embrace these rights are countries that actually create opportunities,” he said.

According to the report, "Ongoing serious human rights problems include disappearances and a lack of accountability for thousands who disappeared in previous years, as well as widespread impunity for a broad range of human rights abuses, such as torture by police and attacks on media institutions and the judiciary”.

The report also stated that President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s family dominates the government. 

“Two of the president’s brothers hold key executive branch posts, as defense secretary and economic development minister, and a third brother is the speaker of Parliament. A large number of the president’s other relatives, including his son, also serve in important political and diplomatic positions. Independent observers generally characterized the presidential, parliamentary, and local elections as problematic.”

It also stated that there was a climate of fear and self-censorship in Sri Lanka. “…attacks, harassment, and threats by progovernment loyalists against critics of the government were prevalent, contributed to widespread self-censorship by journalists, and diminished democratic activity due to the general failure to prosecute perpetrators.”

Not associated with cultural show in SL-Star Vijay

Popular Tamil TV channel in India 'Star Vijay' today denied reports that it was associated with acultural show in Sri Lanka, saying they were "contrary to facts."

"There is no connection to the cultural event being held in Sri Lanka on March 1 and 2 and Vijay TV. Further, Vijay TV has not held any shows in Sri Lanka," it said in a statement.

The entertainment channel's statement came in response to opposition from a Tamil filmmaker Gauthaman, who had alleged that the event by the TV channel had been planned at the behest of the Sri Lankan government.

The channel said it has understanding of Tamil sentiments and reports of it conducting an event in the neighbouring country were "contrary to facts.

Suddenly vijay's seventh sense said why not to rope Sundar.c , its well known  Director Sundar C is known for making some of the best comedies in Kollywood such as Kalakalappu and Ullatha Alli Thaa. The director is now working on Aranmanai in which he plays the lead role as well.
Vijay has requested Sundar C to come up with a very short-term project that could be completed within 40 days. The director is said to be working on such a script and may soon get to direct the star.

குஷ்புக்கு மீண்டும் கோயிலா?

நடிகை குஷ்பு கோலிவுட்டில் உச்சத்தில் இருந்த நேரத்தில் அவருக்கு தமிழகத்தில் ஏராளமான ரசிகர்கள் இருந்தனர்.
இவரது ரசிகர்களின் பாசம் இந்தியாவையே திரும்பி பார்க்க வைத்தது. இவர்கள் திருச்சி அருகே குஷ்புவுக்கு கோவில் கட்டி கும்பாபிஷேகமும் நடத்தினர். ஒரு நடிகைக்கு கோவில் கட்டிய செய்தி நாடு முழுவதும் தீயாக பரவியது. குஷ்புவின் பெயரில் இட்லி விற்பனை கூட தமிழ்நாட்டில் இன்றும் நடைபெறுகிறது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
இந்நிலையில் தற்போது குஷ்பு தொலைக்காட்சி நிகழ்ச்சி ஒன்றுக்கு தயாரானபோது எடுத்த புகைப்படத்தை ட்விட்டரில் வெளியிட்டிருந்தார். 
குஷ்புவின் புகைப்படத்தை பார்த்த ரசிகர் ஒருவர் ட்விட்டரில், ”வாவ்... என்னமா இருக்கீங்க... சீக்கிரமா உங்களுக்கு இரண்டாவது கோவில் ரெடி ஆகப் போகுதுன்னு நினைக்கிறேன்” என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ஹன்சிகாவுடனான காதல் முறிந்துவிட்டாலும், நட்பு தொடரும், இருவரும் இணைந்து நடிப்போம் என்று கூறியுள்ளார் சிம்பு.

2009ல் முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் நடந்த படுகொலை இன்னும் உலகம் முழுக்க வாழும் தமிழர் மனதில் இருந்து நீங்கவில்லை, அந்த ரணமும் இன்னும் ஆறவில்லை.
ஒட்டுமொத்த அந்த இனப்படுகொலையில் 1,75,000 தமிழ் உறவுகளும், இறுதி நாளில் 40,000கும் மேற்ப்பட்ட தமிழ் உறவுகளும் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டது, உலகம் முழுதும் அறிந்த உண்மை. 2009-2014 வரை 5 ஆண்டுகளாக உலகம் முழுக்க உள்ள தமிழர்கள் நீதி கேட்டு போராடிக் கொண்டு இருக்கும் நிலை இன்றைய நிலை.
அதுமட்டுமில்லாமல் வரும் மார்ச் மாதம் ஐநா வில் மனித உரிமை தீர்மானம் நிறைவேறும் நேரத்தில் விஜய் டிவி சூப்பர் சிங்கர் நிகழ்ச்சியை கொழும்புவில் நடத்தப் போவதை அறிந்து மிகவும் சொல்லண்ணா துயரத்திற்க்கு ஆளானோம்.

காதலனை அறிவிக்க நாள் பார்க்கும் த்ரிஷா

காதலன் யார் என்பதை சரியான நேரத்தில் சொல்வேன் என்று கூறியுள்ளார் த்ரிஷா.
திரையுலகிற்கு வந்து 10 வருடங்கள் ஆனாலும் இன்றுவரை ரசகிர்கள் மத்தியில் அழகு பதுமையாக வலம் வருகிறார் த்ரிஷா.

இதற்கிடையில், காதல் கிசுகிசுக்களுக்கு வேறு பஞ்சமில்லை, இந்நிலையில் தன்னுடைய காதல் பற்றி த்ரிஷா கூறுகையில், சமீபகாலமாக நான் நடிகர் ராணாவை காதலிப்பதாக கிசுகிசுக்கள் வந்த வண்ணம் உள்ளன.

இதுபற்றி இப்போது எதுவும் சொல்ல விரும்பவில்லை. எந்தவொரு உறவும் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில்தான் அமையும். அதுபோல் காதலும் சரியான நேரத்தில் வரும்.

அனிமேஷன் புலியை சென்னையில் உள்ள ஈழத்தவர் நிறுவனமான Raymax நிறுவனத்தினால் அனிமேஷன் செய்யப்பட்டு படத்தில் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

காஜல் அகர்வால் மும்பை தொழில் அதிபர் ஒருவருடன் ஜோடியாக துபாயில் சுற்றிய படங்கள் இணையதளங்களில் வெளியாகியுள்ளன.
தமிழ், தெலுங்கில் பிசியாக நடித்து வரும் காஜல் அகர்வால் காதல் வலையில் விழுந்துவிட்டார் என்ற தகவல் வெளியானது.
தற்போது அதனை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் வகையில் மும்பை இளைஞர் ஒருவருடன் காஜல் அகர்வால் நெருக்கமாக இருக்கும் படங்கள் வெளியாகியுள்ளன.
அந்த இளைஞர் மும்பையில் பிரபலமாக உள்ள இன்டீரியர் நிறுவனம் ஒன்றில் தலைமை செயல் அதிகாரியாக பணியாற்றுகிறாராம்.

மேலும் இந்தியிலும் அமித் ராய் இயக்கத்தில் 'ரன்னிங் ஷாதி.காம்' படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். இதன் ஹீரோவாக அமித் சத் தான் நடித்திருக்கிறார்.
ரொமான்டிக் கொமடி என்டர்டெயினர் படமாக உருவாகி இருக்கும் இப்படத்தின் புரொமோஷன் மும்பையில் நடந்தது. இதில் அமித் சத், டாப்ஸி ஆகியோர் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.

Nayan & Hansika Staring With Each Other

According to the information, Nayanthara and Hansika were avoiding with each other at the airport recently. Hansika and Nayanthara are reported to be not in good talking terms with each other and the reason for this is stated to be Simbu.
While Nayanthara is Simbu's ex-lover, who is sharing the screen space with him in the upcoming film, which has been directed by Pandiraj.
Recently, Nayan and Hansika got to meet each other at the Chennai Airport but on seeing each other, both of them moved off in the opposite directions to avoid with each other, not even exchanging their pleasantries, leave alone a conversation.
Simbu & Hansika openly announced earlier that they are in love with each other. They even exchanged gifts with each other and everyone has hoped that they are going to get married very soon.
Under these circumstances, Director Pandiraj is directing a film titled as 'Idhu Namma Alu', in this movie Nayanthara is going to act as the heroine. According to the gossips in the air, Hansika does not like Nayanthara pairing with Simbu as the heroine for this movie.
Due to this, there was a huge gap and difference of opinion happened between Simbu & Hansika. At this point of time, in some websites, Nayan & Simbu's close-up photographs which was taken during the film shoot has appeared. This stirred the anger of Hansika.
According to the gossips, this could be the reason for not talking with each other at the Chennai Airport, even though they met with each other face to face.

Now sources said that  his upcoming film with Ajith likely to revive his favorite cop episode and Thala will be appearing young & Dashing cop look,similarly Ulaganayagan appeared with ultimate cop look for Vettaiyadu Vilayadu. The makers are planning to be launch the movie pooja on mid march  in a simple manner. 
As we already reported  Ar.Rahman and anushka are still holding this flick. As a music side gautham is very clear to rope A.R Rahman but the female side is problem,due to demand of date allocatuon is the reason for Anushka dilamaa reaction ,on the other side the team is planning to finish whole shoot before july end and release may be happen on Diwali .
Gautham Menon's camp is tight lipped about Ajith's project and sources close to the director said that an official announcement will be made very soon
Anyways lets hope this combo will crack the screen on this year!!!

SL rejects Pillay's call

The Sri Lankan Government (GOSL) has rejected the call by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navnanethem Pillay's  'to establish an international inquiry mechanism to further investigate the alleged violations of IHRL and IHL and monitor any domestic accountability process in Sri Lanka', saying 'it gives scant or no regard to the domestic processes ongoing in Sri Lanka within the framework of the LLRC NPOA, and is politicized in premise'.

The Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the UN, Geneva said in a statment that the trajectory that has emerged with regard to the recommendation of the High Commissioner "reflects the preconceived, politicized and prejudicial agenda which she has relentlessly pursued with regard to Sri Lanka", since just a week following the defeat of terrorism in Sri Lanka, on 26th May 2009 at the 11th Special Session of the UNHRC on Sri Lanka, and at subsequent sessions and reports. It is noted that the reference in the current report that “the High Commissioner remains convinced” for an “independent, international inquiry” demonstrates her persistent efforts against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka said, "it is pertinent to question the factual basis for the High Commissioner’s initial formal call to the HRC for an independent, international investigation in May 2009 and its continuation, in order that the international community not be misled".

GOSL made these observations in "comments" submitted to the draft report of the High Commissioner on 12 February 2014, ahead of the High Commissioner's(HC) final report on Sri Lanka to the 25th Session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) which was placed on the OHCHR website today (24 February 2014).

Although on the last occasion when the HC reported on Sri Lanka to the 22nd Session of the HRC in March 2013,  GOSL's "comments" were placed as an addendum to the report, ensuring the integrity of the HC's report and the GOSL comments, and also that they were equally visible, the GOSL's request this year that its comments be published as an addendum to the HC's Report has been refused, and have instead been placed at a separate link under "Communications from Governments" which contains an assortment of correspondence from governments on a broad range of matters of specific concern to respective governments.

In its "comments" GOSL noting its "non-recognition and categorically rejected of resolution 22/1 that mandated the HC's report", observes that "it has nevertheless continued to make significant progress in its own reconciliation process, and has continued to regularly update the Council on such progress. In this context, GOSL rejects, without prejudice to its position of non-recognition of resolution 22/1, the High Commissioner’s claim that most of the recommendations made in her previous report to the Human Rights Council remain unimplemented". GOSL has also "reiterated its categorical rejection of the conclusions and recommendations contained in the HC's Report, which reflects bias and is tantamount to an unwarranted interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign State". 

In its detailed point by point "comments" on the HC's report, GOSL has regretted that "the HC had raised concerns regarding a range of issues based on information of questionable veracity and arrived at conclusions in a selective and arbitrary manner". It added that this included many she had raised during her August 2013 week long visit to Sri Lanka, "where the GOSL had requested the High Commissioner to provide factual evidence to substantiate allegations" and "to refrain from making general comments without a degree of specificity which would allow the GOSL to investigate and respond in a comprehensive manner", which however had not been forthcoming.
